How We Work

At Ability Found our mission is to provide medical and rehabilitation equipment free of charge to people with disabilities who cannot afford it. Our focus is to provide people the equipment they need in the shortest time possible giving them the greatest chance to achieve the freedom they desire. To accomplish these goals we use a team approach. The four members of our team are Ability Found, The Client, The Professional Service Provider, and The Medical Equipment Vendor. In the equipment placement process each member must be qualified by Ability Found. They all perform a vital role to ensure a high quality outcome. Each accepts specific responsibilities as outlined under the Service Partners tab.

When you donate, our charity purchases medical and rehabilitation equipment that helps children and adults with a wide range of medical handicaps and disabilities. These disabilities include conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis, stroke, cancer, spinal cord injuries, gene abnormalities, hydrocephalus, amputations, diabetes, congenital impairments, heart disease, and lung disease.

The medical and rehabilitation equipment we purchase is vital to our clients being involved in society and includes power wheelchairs, power scooters, manual wheelchairs with custom seating, handicapped vans, walkers, gait trainers, standing frames, bath equipment, continence supplies, braces hospital beds and pressure relieving mattresses.
