With a new bath chair provided by Ability Found a mom of triplets can enjoy tubby time just a little bit more now. Imagine trying to give 2 year-old triplets a bath. Now imagine trying to give 2 year-old triplets a bath when two of them cannot yet sit up…
With a new specially designed bath chair that helps kids sit in the tub, this mom can now relax a bit and let the kids play without having to hold them up and give them a bath at the same time. The kids are working very hard in physical therapy and making good progress toward sitting, however, as is the norm with Cerebral Palsy, it may take a little while for them to be able to sit safely while in water.
In this family’s situation their insurance policy has a deductible that requires them to pay the first $1000 out of pocket for any piece of durable medical equipment and this bath chair retails for about $400. With regular medical and therapy expenses this family would not have been able to afford the bath chair without assistance and at Ability Found we are happy that we were able to help.
