"Comprehensive" Health Care

by Ernest 27. October 2009 18:36

What a mess Congress is conjuring up for us Americans. The congressional leadership is hell bent on passing a comprehensive health care bill this year, while they still have a majority in both houses.

The word “comprehensive” is used by our government, but what has been forced on us and what beast it will become, makes mockery of its meaning.  The beguiling betrayal of a health care program they have for us is definitely comprehensive. You can be sure that it will mean a copious comprehensive maze of restrictions, a comprehensive disclosure of our most personal affairs, a comprehensive package of new tax forms for us to fill out, a comprehensive set of qualifying regulations, a comprehensive squandering from fraud and misuse, a comprehensive list of limitations on services, and a comprehensive non-personal non-caring government health care bureaucracy.

There is no limit to how our government can misuse a word for their benefit.

Everyday people come to us for assistive equipment they cannot get through Medicare and Medicaid even though they qualify for these government programs. Each year there are more restrictions on what equipment is covered and each year the costs of these programs go up and each year the costs for individuals go up in higher taxes, premiums and co-payments.

And we now have at least four more bills in congress wanting to add to this mess. Does anyone in their right mind think that a more efficient, more frugal, more beneficial, more flexible and more accessible health care program can possibly come of this? Especially when there are thousands of lobbyists buying off every congressman they can reach, to make sure their special interests are protected. And there are an abundance of congressmen eager for this money to maintain and increase their influence, power and privileges.

Why are we letting this happen? It is our government; the constitution empowers the people be the sovereign; we rule. But we have given up our power because we no longer are unified. Through our living we have divided ourselves. And the people in power have taken advantage of this and used their influence to divide us further and sap our power.

What good Ability Found could do with only a second’s worth of the money that is now being wasted on this health care debacle. We know the value of hard earned money, and we know how to help people as they come to us and we care. We’re proactive, were independent and we are effective. Where are our fellow Americans that that see this vision and want to help?
