Currently there is a great controversy raging in America about the most desired way to help those most needy in our nation.
Some people feel that it is the duty of government to provide basic personal needs such as housing, healthcare and food. This is best accomplished through taxing those who can afford it, and giving it to those who need it.
Others in our nation feel that government should not be involved in these activities and it is the place of individuals to freely donate their time and money to charities to provide basic personal needs such as housing, healthcare and food.
Both sides feel that their methods are the most efficient and effective and both sides feel their methods are morally right.
In the future I will post arguments from both sides of this controversy and the facts supporting their claims.
